Tungsten carbide nozzles are primarily used in PDC drill bits and cone roller bits for flushing, cooling, and lubricating drill bit tips. They also help clean stone chips at the well bottom with drilling fluid under high-pressure conditions, vibration, and the impact of sand and slurry during oil and natural gas exploration.
These nozzles feature a straightforward design, exceptional strength, high wear resistance, and robust impact resistance. PDC bit nozzles were recognized as one of the three groundbreaking drilling technologies globally in the 1980s. Field applications have demonstrated that diamond bit drilling excels in soft to medium-hard formations due to its extended service life, reduced downtime, and consistent bore quality.
Nozzles for PDC bits primarily serve the purposes of cooling water and washing away mud. Depending on the geological environment of the drilling site, we select different water flow rates and hole sizes for the tungsten nozzles to optimize performance.
